It is important for readers to understand what is happening in their books, who the characters are and what the theme is. In your response, outline the following: Plot, Setting, Characters, and Universal Theme. Provide evidence to support your thinking from your book.

My book is The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini. The characters in my book is Amir, Soraya(Amirs' wife), Baba and Hassan. Amir is around 22 years old so is his wife. I don't know how old Baba or Hassan are but I'm pretty sure that Hassan is the same age as Amir.

The setting is Fremont, California. Baba and Amir lived in an apartment together.

pg 125 "Baba loved the idea of America....I remember the two of us walking through Lake Elizabeth Park in Fremont, a few streets down from our apartment..."

The plot of the story right now is that Amir got married( I know shocked me too). He got married to this lady from Kabul (same age as him) named Soraya.

I think the Universal Theme is either Message about Life. I think that it's a Message about Life b/c it shows how we can over come some obstacles that we have in life.

My book is The Kite Runner Khaled Hosseini. My characters are Amir, Baba, and Hassan. But they don't mention Hassan a lot as they used to. Amir is 20 right now and from the beginning of the book to where I am now, he's changed a lot. Right now he barely graduated high school and he's in America with Baba. There living in Fresmont, California. I think the universal theme is Human nature. I think that b/c we have all lost a friend here or there. Some of us had to come to another country b/c of how bad it was or b/c a better education could be here. I honestly don't know what the plot is yet. But I think it's to live your life without regrets.
